New Year Brings A Variety Of Good Fishing

Published December 27th, 2011 by Capt Jason Prieto

The New Year is here and most of us are still recovering from a great holiday filled with fun and food. With all the festivities behind its time to get out and do some fishing. January brings some of the coldest temperatures of the year with air temps reaching 45 degrees when cold fronts hit but you can see air temperatures in the 70s on mild days and skies blue and full of sun. Trout is the most sought after fish this month with the South region opening and Bonnet head Sharks not far behind. If you enjoy getting a late start and not waking up at the crack of dawn and still catching tons of fish then you will love fishing this time of year. Artificial baits are also my recommended bait and are very productive. You also don’t need to be an expert to catch Trout on artificial baits. It is easy and with a little bit of teaching from myself and a few practice casts you will be ready for catching. If you are coming down and enjoy fishing you need to get out and enjoy the great weather and fishing. Come book a fishing trip of a lifetime with a full time guide that is Tampa native.
