Its July and one thing is for sure its hot. This time of year it doesn’t take long to break a sweat while fishing on Tampa Bay, but don’t let that hold you back from getting on the water because Tampa flats fishing has been on fire. The key has been to get an early start and beat the heat. If you get out early you can experience some great fishing for Red fish roaming the flats at sun up. Snook laying on the banks eating everything in sight as they get ready to spawn. Mangrove Snapper invade Tampa Bay as big schools hit just about every wreck and reef around. Grouper season has opened and the bay offers some of the best shallow water Grouper around. Don’t forget about the almighty Silver King (Tarpon) as our resident fish start to move int0 the bay.
