Snapper Fishing finally starting to take off!

Well all of us in the Tampa Bay area have been waiting on the big push of Mangrove Snapper to invade the bay. Well we are about a month late but they are starting to show in good numbers. The key has been to load up with lots of small greenbacks. This will enable you to create a nice chum slick and bring the fish to you. Tackle and rigging is pretty simple. I like to use your light tackle set up which consist of a 17lb class 8ft Daiwa Coastal Rod Matched with a a 2500 Daiwa Tierra spinning reel. 20 to 25 lb leader matched with a #1 daiichi circle hook. This is a simple but deadly combination. I like the top or bottom of the tide. Right as it starts to move. Mangrove (Also known as Grey Snapper) are also a great table fair and limits are laxed so this means dinner is on the way. To book your next Snapper trip call or email now!
