January Trout & Redfish Fishing in Tampa Bay

Published January 17th, 2010 by Capt Jason Prieto

Well, we are finally getting some warm weather, and things are starting to heat up. I got out on the water today and managed to catch some nice trout and redfish. The water temperature has been really cold, so a slow approach has been the key to success. I expect things to really get back to normal soon. The bait of choice has been shrimp and artificial lures on a free line or suspended under a cork. I should be out this week, so I'll be able to share some more good reports. Spring fishing is right around the corner, so call us now to book your trips.
